The Outdoors are Calling.

Pack 285 boasts members from all corners of the world, has multiple languages spoken in many of our homes, and diverse religious and non-religious backgrounds.

We welcome all types of families, so long as they are rooted in love for their children.

Pack 285 is environmentally focused. We are paperless, digital, conservation minded, and wear kelly green Class B shirts to find one another both in the woods and in a crowd.

Troop 285 is our older program for our girls, boys, and non-binary youth who age out of Cub Scouts. They wear black and kelly green Class Bs.

A uniform shirt, neckerchief, and belt let our Cub Scouts display their bits and baubles, but the rest of the uniform isn’t as important.

We use both Class A (traditional blue or tan uniforms) and Class B (green t-shirts with 285 Logo) uniforms. Class A’s are for meetings and ceremonies, while Class Bs are for camping and messy activities.

We are large, loud, and elbows deep in adventure. Our inclusive, diverse, conservation-minded Pack welcomes all (girls, boys, non-binary). Fundraising is elective – never required.

We have 16 girls, including Cubmaster Ron’s daughter.

Troop 285 is our linked Scout unit for 6th-12th grade girls, boys, and non-binary youth. We camp monthly, do service quarterly, and are headed to the mountains of North Carolina for summer camp at Camp Daniel Boone. They meet on Thursday nights at 6:30pm.
